Don`t go crossing the bloody bridge into Wales, you`ll have a fit at the charges :p

Ive had the extra charge for a trailor thing before going through the Mersey tunnels, once in twenty+ years of passing through with a trailor on the back

It guts the crap out of me that you have to pay to GET IN to Wales! It's almost worth the extra journey to avoid the bridges!!

They've got you by the balls really, the bridge is so convenient, even more so with the price of fuel.

Needless to say, I don't go to Wales that often.

dartford toll if you've a window in the back of the van you''re classed as a mini bus therefore you pay the same as a car charge, but the m6 one wont have any of it!!

What was the tag line on the adverts at the time "come home to a real fire, buy a holiday home in Wales" :(

Warburton toll bridge: 12p. It's 25p for an all-day ticket allowing you to shuttle back and forth between the thriving metropolis of Lymm and the bustling hubbub of Hollins Green as many times as you wish, with unspoiled views of the Manchester Ship Canal thrown in for free!

That pigging M6 scam: it was 2 quid a go when it opened 4 years ago. 4.50 for a car two weeks ago, a mere increase of 125% when inflation is running at under 3%. Robbing bar stewards!

its all about time and motion,if you want to sit in traffic with 2 other blokes in the van not earning a bean for an hour then £4.50 is worth it
i laugh when people moan about the costs of things,if you dont want to pay dont buy it! simple

sky TV £50 a month, bargain compared to the cost of going to a premiership game

diesel £1.20 a litre = better than walking to work

its all relative ,really ,personally i think the last 10 years have been great for this country

cheers LLL

you have gotta do that a few times james. to pay for that meal!
i go here about once every 6 months ,cost a packet but i would rather pay for the quality once in a while that than go to a beefeater 6 times and eat freezer to the frier stuff
like you say though its about value,i often walk the 1.5 miles into town (20 minutes) rather than pay £4 for a taxi, but it is downhill :)

Diesel at 1.20 a litre (it's more expensive where you are, LL - I'm only paying 112p) is STILL cheaper than beer.

It used to cost me less than a quid to fill the tank on me first (road legal) motorbike!
