The missus hate the smell of my work clothes too, especially if I've been waterproofing/timber treating, repairing the trannies etc...speaking of which, I've got to strip the gearbox on the flat bed down today.. got stuck in reverse and couldnt release it last night so left it parked up. Our friends the police paid me a visit whilst i was trying to sort it out in the dark.. they were obviously perturbed by the fact that this old flatbed was not moving and what with this unsavoury looking character in the cab:D :D anyway am going back in a short while to start on it, but have three jobs to do today as well... no peace for the wicked eh:D

Even the best if us forget our gloves sometimes, not just the hands though,on your legs from brushing up against dirty wheelbarrows in the summer with your shorts on, and of course the jokers that you work with putting hot tarmac in the crack of your a**e when your bending over to clean your shovel.

Morning all,

Just an update... I'm well on the way to getting the driveway done now. All the edgings are in place and I'm now waiting for a break in the weather to start screeding and laying.

Thanks to everyone for the tip of using the tarmac. Seems to have worked a treat. Doesn't look as good as a professional job, but I'm happy with it.

I'll post up some pictures once it's all done. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks :;):
