Just wondered what you chaps did when it comes to brusing KD sand in during the wet weather. We've just had a nightmare job,100m drive that the sun just didnt get to. Ended up with 3 men using propane burners to dry the blocks and took best part of a day. Has any one used/seen in action the probst sander. It claims it can be used with a hose attatchment to wash sand in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

no need to dry out the blocks in this weather. Just use a hose pipe ,or the rain and brush the KD in wet. :;):

Washing-in the jointing has been discussed previously. Use the Search tool to find the thread. You must be 110% certain that the laying course and other sub-layers are extremely free-draining or there'll be trouble.

If anyone ever uses this technique, either with a hose or (preferably) with the Probst or Optimas machine, I'd love to photo-document it for inclusion on the website.
