I built a steel warehouse for an African government last year in which they plan to store cement.

I thought at the time that it was a strange choice of theirs to have a dirt floor in a cement warehouse. After all, if the warehouse is to be full of cement, using a little to install a concrete floor might save money in the long term as it would be easier to move pallets around etc etc.

Anyway, I went to the warehuse yesterday to install three gutter stopends that I had been unable to install previously as the drainage contractor had not finished.

I was expecting to see neat pallets of cement stored in the warehouse, but no I saw this:

The client paid over a million bucks for this warehouse and just tips his cement on the dirt floor!

Maybe they're planning on it being a self-forming floor?

When's the rainy season out there, Ted?
