I got some great advice off this site a few years back and did an OK DIY job of my patio, using gee-co flags on a full bed of concrete on top of 6" of hardcore. I got the fall right away from the house, but it means the patio isn't a level base. I now want to put a pavilion type gazebo on the patio (the one called the merlin at crownpavilions.com. It's the one without the legs and steps. What I want to know is: Can I put a damp-proof membrane down on my patio flags (to preserve the flags underneath in case I move the structure in the future), make a frame, and then lay a level concrete screed base for the pavilion to sit on? Ta.

Thanks peops. The plinth idea under the posts sounds great. They'll have to be different heights as patio isn't level. I never thought of that, but if the floor turns out to be supporting itself, that's great. It will be about 10 foot away from the house do I don't think DP will be affected. There's a few options now. Thanks all.
