Sloping driveway help

I am currently looking into converting my front garden into a block paved driveway, the only issue is that my front garden slops down towards the house, not by much, the end drop is about 30cm from the pavement level.

I would like a very slight decline (for drainage etc) but for it to be mainly level.

I am seeking advice on the best way in which to build this up, if i use general rumble and then put 150mm sub base followed by the rest etc, is this going to be adequate or is it best to build it all out of sub base material or is this something best suited to have a concrete base.

I know lots of questions but i hope someone can help, the driveway will be 20' by 12' Thanks

30 cm is too high for edgings so you need a low retaining wall and a linear drain near the house

You could get away with a Flag-on-edge retainer as long as it wasn't more than 250-300mm upstand, and you'd need to have an equal amount buried in the concrete bed and haunch.

As for the build-up, 100mm layers of Type 1, compacted to refusal once the flag-on-edge concrete was properly hard (about a week at this time of year)
