Morning lads. I need some advice.
A client has asked me to render an existing full brick wall, 6' high. The wall is free-standing on the boundary.
I've only ever rendered walls I've just built!
Do you think the wall will need any special prep like a PVA wash before I put the scratch coat on?

You're right; Ronafix will help in two ways.
1. Ronafix mixed with cement will bond render to brick
2. Ronafix added to the render will make it waterproof or watertight depending on how much you add
Don't use PVA where it's damp or wet. It's not designed for that. It won't survive.
As to whether it's worth paying the price of Ronafix, that depends on the problems / embarrassment of render debonding, cracking, debonding.
