Crushing machines - Crushing old concrete slabs

I need to block pave a driveway (3m wide x 100m long). It is currently paved with 600 by 600mm concrete slabs. I am assuming the sub-base is non existent, as the slabs are all over the place.
I am thinking about hiring a crushing machine to crush the slabs and using the crushed conrete as a sub-base for the new block pavers. Has anyone had experience of doing this? Are there any portable crushing machines which will crush to DTp1 standards (or thereabouts)?
Cheers, Phil

Used one yesterday. Absolutely brilliant. £150+VAT per day. The finished product has, I think, fewer fines in relation to the larger pieces than DTp Type 1. Fine for a patio but for a driveway I'd be inclined to blind it off with a layer of type 1 to reduce the risk of voids.
Would save you a fortune if you do it right. You local waste firms may also collect the excess crusher run (if you have any) FOC if it's clean.

Having also rented Dan's machine I can whole heartedly recommend it. When crushing slabs I did find that at the setting I had it on and the slabs only being two inches thick they broke up into quite big pieces, you could set it a little smaller than I did and at the very least mix it in with your type 1 to create a decent sub-base/fill the soft spots.

my national advertising, a website, local flyers, advert in yellow pages, sponsorship with local football clubs, leaflets in bm's, direct marketing flyers, and word of mouth for a start!
Word of mouth is best. It only takes a sceptical builder to use it once and see its potential, and he can tell all his mates.
