Hello
I had my drains water jetted to unblock my drains that backed up,
before I went on holiday.
would it be normal for the drains to backup again within a month?
as they did, my family and I were away the whole time, and my
neighbor lives alone, in other words the drains had little use
many thanks in advance
TT

Then you have a collapse on your hands, most probably.
Got lots of trees nearby?
Time for a cctv operator to take a look. Check your house insurance, might be covered.......

Whilst you're also doing that, consider whether your house was built pre-1937.
If it was then it's possible that the local water company is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the drain.
Do an internet search on "section 24 drain" and your local water company.
I'm led to believe that if your drain serves two or more properties and was built prior to October 1937 then it's the local water companies responsibility.

agree sounds like a collapse or blockage. cctv or manual rodding should tell you whats up. could be that main sewer,ie waterboard responsibility has collapsed..had one last year, i cleared this property three times, and informed the waterboard each time that i suspected they had a collase. eventually when the client threatened to sue them, they investigated and found a main sewer collapse three streets over, which was the cause of the problem, my client just happened to be the one on the end of the run, so he dipped iykwim.
