I know two methods of calculating FW drainage (consumption & discharge unit methods), however using these two methods gives very different incomparable answers. Which method is the best to use?

IMO: discharge. However, I'm a (knackered ex) contractor, not a Nenigineer, and I can't give you the calcs to show why I beleive that to be better - it's summat that was passed down to me by a drainage nenigeer that I respected highly back in the 1980s.

Flow Joe might know, so there you go. Off for a mo'...Go!
