I am building a patio at the back of my house, I have to raise it about 12" at one side where the waste water pipe runs down the side of the house at a depth of about 3". can I just cover this pipe with hardcore/grit sand/slabs or do I have to encase it in concrete, or any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Patio over pipes

you will be ok just covering the pipe with the sub base (mot) go easy with the wacker
you will then be able to insert a lent of pipe and elbow to raise the gully to the finished hight.
sean was referring to the black sink waste which is 40mm die hence 40mm waste
where is you dpc because as said you need to be 150 below ???
