Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

I have an area of about 30 sq mtrs that is made up of different materials, ie part of it is already concrete, part flag stones part soil. What is the best way to create a base to lay paving slabs on. Many thanks for looking

Almost impossible to answer without knowing an awful lot more: what the current levels are in relation to any building dpc, slope, drainage, etc.

drainage good, these slabs are going at the back end of my garden so no worries about DPC.almost all the same level there
