alright men, where do you get your tools from? Im currently putting together a list of tools i need for a goverment funded grant scheme im applying for and i was looking for good suppliers, which given my part of the country would probably be mail order. Im a budding landscape gardener, so related suppliers would be handy

I find it best to find the best price online and then see if your local shop will match it.

You then get the after sales care which you might not get online and it is nice to help your local tool shop out.

Wickes do some "professional" hand tools that are fairly cheap and pretty robust, things like all steel shovels, forks, rakes, spades and so on. Also handy when you break a tool, and can't wait for one to be delivered from tinterweb machine.

I always decide on tool I want, then shop around for the best price and back up-service. Because someone I know works for Bosch I do tend to end up choosing their tools, but I think this is just coincidence! :p
