Spent all week digging a service trench for a new build/barn conversion. Gas and Electric, 850mmm down, digging through some extremely tough and stony ground under the old main road into our local town.

On the home stretch now, but we have had some fun along the way.........in the form of a broken water pipe......there was just no way of avoiding it.....just glad we didn't knock off any of the ferrules on the 6" water main we seemed to follow up through our dig perfectly! If you wanted to follow the main, there would be no way of doing it, sodding typical!

And we got very wet on Monday with the general rain....

Gas main and power cable covered with limestone 'dust'

And then topped up with layers of 6F2 (Type1) and whacked down leaving 110mm for tarmac layers

This is how close we ended up to the 6" water main.....

Nobody is perfect!

We're a tidy working bunch, you know! Man with the brush is Glenn, ex-Wessex Water :)
