A first for me, but have a look at page 39. That patio was laid by me!! :)

Anyone else had their work featured like this?

The Travertine? You should have insisted on a credit, with your company name and number listed in the back of the brochure. Marshalls do it for their contributing contractors.

A picture of some grassblock paving laid by us in the early 1990s used to feature in the old Marshalls tech literature, and there was a picture of some Tegula paving, installed when it first came out in 1989/90.

A certain company here in NW Eng-er-land featured in a certain brochure a few years ago, and promptly raised his prices by 15-20% because he thought he was some kind of zelebrity. After 12 months of boring his potential clients to death with the photo of a patio he'd laid, work dried up and he went bust.

Ah, slight technicality there. The garden I was landscaping belonged to a high up bod at buildbase, and as such, he got bradstone to feature it as it was a new product that they wanted someone to lay, and supply. He supplied the product, i laid it, they sent a bod out to photograph it. I think he got a great deal on the slabs for allowing them to photograph it.
The photographer traveled for three hours to get there, spent eight hours in the garden photographing various parts, using lights and props, then they only used one photo. The tree branches you can see aren't actually there, he has added them in with a computer.
I guess you have to be on the marshalls register to be in their brochure. Besides, no one round here stocks it apart from travis, so it is a no-no for us contractors. In my opinion, there are better alternatives, and cheaper too.
