Concrete base

I have an area that is walled on all sides that used to be a base for a garage. The base is made of concrete. Can i lay straight onto this? Also what would be the best style to lay on this?

You can lay flags/slabs on a full mortar bed over the existing base, as long as you're not compromising any of the DPC levels, as discussed on the Laying Over An Existing Base page.

I'm not sure what you mean by "best style". Do you mean which type of flags or what sort of pattern or which method of laying?
