Currently I have a 100mm vitrified clay pipe in my garden. Is vitrified clay the same as salt-glazed clay?

I am removing a "12 O'Clock" junction from this pipe and replacing it with a straight through section of 100mm uPVC piping.

Because of the difference in thickness in the vitrified clay pipe and the new uPVC section, can standard couplings be used to connect these together and create an airtight seal or are there "special" couplings needed.

Thanks

Mason

Sounds like you need 2 x AC4000 collars.
