first i'd like to say what a fantastic site
I saw the link to the probst handling site and I'm interested in the screeding tool and rails I currently use30mm galvanised tube and screed compacted sand with spirit level. Does this tool make the job easier, £450 seemed a bit steep, but if it saves time and effort could be worth it?

i got the poles and they were worth it when you set them they give you a great screed i use a a bit of wood to pull along them must be slow using a spirit level the poles have saved me time and effort liam

what dimensions are the poles liam are they solid enough to take a bit of hammer in the back of a van.
the reason i fancy the screeding tool is to save the old knees

taken me an age to post I Know Suggers, Ive found the forum really useful, tried romex after reading a couple of reviews on here FANTASTIC.The tme saved pointing Indian stone was amazing.
would like to here from anyone who has used this screeder to see if its worth the money

The screed rails are very useful, being around 2.4m in length and 20mm dia. Very strong, almost impossible to bend or distort.

The screed boards are also a boon, because they allow you to draw a screed from an upright position, so no bent back and no knees in damp sand just waiting to be struck down with arthritis.

Probst have a couple of new scred tools and I'll be putting something on the site this weekend (hopefully) of the new kit unveiled at SED last week.

The cost of their kit is a common complaint regrding all Probst tools, but, in all honesty, you'd be hard pushed to find anything manufactured to the same very high standard of quality. Probst tools should last you a lifetime, and the bits that do 'wear' are, without exception, replaceable.

You could use standard 20mm dia steel electrical conduit for screed rails, and you can use a length of 4x1 for your screeder board, but by the same token, you could use a 4x4 fence post to consolidate your flags.
