Grit sand for pointing

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi, i have a ton of grit sand ready to use for my bedding layer for a small path (6m long), can i use grit sand and cement to dry grout my slabs when layed or do i have to use builders sand? Thanks

Use grit sand if you wish. It gives a coarser texture to your mortar, but there's nowt wrong with it, from a construction point of view
