Confused - Sandstone patio

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

hi all , great site and lots of info , but help. im laying a sandstone patio , got the slabs from those nice people at rock unique, but a bit confused re the bed i should put them on . i was told that they needed a full bed . but what mix , 10 to 1 ? also does the mix have to be wet as in bricklaying mortar or is a dryer mix needed ? ive got 32 sq meters to lay on clay soil. any help would be great . cheers all. :D

cheers LLL . have read the section but wanted to know if that was a dry mix or a wet mix ? cheers .

i think that shows a dry mix,but for indian sandstone i prefer a wet mix,bit more adhesion
