Weeeelll... Used the Hg stuff and it didn't attack the limestone. Didn't appear to attack the cement either. The bottle suggests diluting it 1 in 10. I am wondering if I might get away with more. The stone looks a bit better, but chiefly because it's be scrubbed so much, I reckon. I've used a kitched scourer (plastic) on the cement and it shifed it a bit, but basically I don't think this product is having any real effect. It's mostly alcohol, by the way. I'll try it more tomorrow but I don't have much hope for it. Might as well face it, my slabs are a bit mucked. There goes £800, plus scarily expensive fitting. I could have bought a record for that!

The staining will weather, over time. Next spring, you might hardly notice the cement at all....hopefully!

Next time, ie, in my next life, I'll get them to use black cement so it doesn't show so much. Here's hoping the weather turns unseasonably nasty...
