Drainage question

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Hi

I will be having a new patio laid next week and the builder says it will be sloped away from the house butthat will be towards a retaining rendered wall that will also be built. My question is if the water drains away from the house will it not sit in front of the new wall and ruin that in time.

I was thinking of buying those drainage 100cm channels and having that near my house & slope it towards the property or I can have them infront of the wall with the original slope away from the house.

What options do I have?

What you describe is a "linear drain". There is lots of info on the main site.

It can be wherever you want to satisfy the aesthetics and the available outflow.
