I'm putting in soil pipe for a toilet in concrete under the floor and was wondering if anyone knows the correct distance to have the finished pipe from a not yet drylined wall? The walls are old but square ish and I want to use the thick plasterboard as it's in a cellar. Does this distance depend on the type and make of toilet I have purchased a small P bend and a space toilet.

Hi jhster. i think you will find it depends on the size of the unit. As the toilet is in a cellar, are you installing an up flush system? i would work out where the dry lining finishes then take your measurement from there, also you have to consider the water feed. hope this is of some help, good luck.

i would say 80-100mm from an internal corner IYKWIM
about 30-40 for the drylining and 50 mm for the pipe clips
cheers LLL :)
