Please can you help a confused novice?
After reading many pages and various guides i would like to know what is the best method for bedding indian sandstone slabs?
i may or may not use a sub base.
I'm fairly competant when it comes to diy and would prefer to do it on a bed of wet mix?is that ok?do i bed it straight down on to the sub base if i use one ?
the area is 50m2,would i bed top to bottom along the fall first in strips working towards or away from the house or along the top edge working down the edge of the house to the lowest point?
Hope thats not too confusing
Thanks for your help
Can i do it wet??

your sub grade needs to be reasonably level and firm, if you are going to lay flags directly on it. if they are going to take excess weight, i e, heavy planters etc; then you should be thinking of 100ml sub base. wet or dry is your choice, i favour semi dry. make sure you start laying from a straight edge, IE side of the house, or, make a square using 3 4 5 and string a line to work to. its all explained on the main site, also in Tony's book, which is the equivalent of the holy bible. Good luck
