those flags will get dizzy steve
yes you can rip up the edge flags and do a little wall,but why not build the wall sat 550 mm in front of the patio then do another row of flags?
also i am pretty sure modak setts are available,you could build the wall in these for effect
before you start pointing the flags think about using romex rompox or patio,if you look on my patio thread i have used it on mine and although they say it can just be brushed in,i prefer to squeeze it right in with a jointing iron ,keep it dry for 24 hours and its gone off like rock,also no mortar stains and you can get 3 different colours
