Pic appearance - Sandy dust settles on grey

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

My PIC drive which has been down just over one year is impossible to keep clean. After I wash it there is always a sandy coloured dust settled on it which makes it look dirty/scruffy. If I spend a ridiculous amount of time rinsing it can look almost ok but the dust will appear where water has settled and dried naturally.

The drive itself is dark grey and as it completely surrounds the house I have a theory that this dust if from either my roof tiles or brick work, but I’m not sure.

Is there something better I could use to clean it? I have used ‘patio cleaners’ or soap and water.

Thanks

Arer you sure it's a dust? Can you sweep it up and collect it on a shovel or is it summat in the sealant?

Tony, thanks for the reply.

Yes I can move it about or painstakingly hand clean and dry one square.

OK - so it's not a problem with the sealant, which means you need to identify the source and treat that, rather than repeatedly clean the driveway. Are your neighbours affected?
