Hi,

I am pretty new to this, so please bear with me!!!

I was wondering how I would go about creating a parking space using pea shingle? We have a large Tarmac drive, but I want to create a small parking space to use as a passing point /occasional weekend parking space.... Any pointers on what I need to do would be appreciated .i.e. do I need to excavate to 150mm put down pea shingle (or do I need hardcore first) and when do I put down the weed control membrane?

Many thanks

If twer me i would go for a cellular system as shown here http://www.pavingexpert.com/cellpav1.htm

Whatever you do the construction will have to be able to support a car witout sinking so do it right and avoid future problems.
