Time for sealent - How long to leave

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Just had a patterned concrete driveway done and they sealed it today. How long should we leave it before we can walk on it? Contractor said ok in four hours but leave until tomorrow before we drive on it. Also need to make sure dry before let cats out!

It may depend on the sealer type, but IME in this weather four hours should be ample. I don't think the cat or you will cause any damage but keep the car off for a bit as he says.

Minimum 24 hours before trafficking it with vehicles, but personally, I'd leave it 3 days. If a decent double coat of sealant has been applied, at this time of year, with temps under 20°C, I reckon it needs 72 hours to properly harden.
