I live in the US cannot find the type of sand you recommend for dry sand jointing for sandstone paving stones. I can find what is called builders sand and play sand. Can someone tell me what I should be asking for?
The joints have already been filled with builders sand but much of it has disappeared so I intend to add some more sand and then use a a stabilizer to reduce further loss.
A name of a good US stabilizer would also be welcomed.

A spec for the jointing sand used in Britain and Ireland is given here.

However, in N.America, there is a trendency to use a pre-stabilised sand, with TechniSeal being a very popular product. If it's just the stabiliser you want, look for SureBond
