Hi all, new user here hoping you may be able to give me a bit of adivce.

I'm looking to pve my back yard, however the top of my grid and also manhole cover is only 50mm or so beneath the damp proof of the house. (It's an old terrace built around 1897ish).

Also at the back the land on the other side of the fence is way above the height my flags will lay at.

Would I be on the correct lines in thinking a stone/pebble edge border may help?

Cheers

Ste ???

Such a helpful topic heading - just what's needed to elicit the help you need!

You need to dig out the existing and reduce the ground level so that, when you come to lay the new paving, it will be at the required level, ie, 150mm below dpc
