Block paving sealer - Sealing blockpaving

We have got someone coming round on Tuesday to give us a price for sealing an existing drive. I have looked on the internet at the various materials available from the least expensive to the most expensive but I get the impression from the technical information that now is not a good time to put it down, probably late spring with a bit of dry weather would be a better time.

The company is Drive Care UK if any one has heard of them.

Is a DIY job a realistic option if you use one of the better products such as Resiblock22

Don't wish to get too technical here, but the urethane based product cures through a combination of solvent release (the solvent is there to facilitate easy application and prevent premature curing) and chemical reaction with the moisture (this could be in the air or within the block).
If the surface of the blocks are wet then the cure will happen before the sealer has a chance to penetrate the surface - you could possibly end up with an alternative to cling film over the surface of your drive.
