Don't you all find this continual bouncing prices around so time consuming - we have approx 5 BM's around us - it's a tedious juggling act - I just want to pay a fair price for a good product.
Goodnight all.

Travis and Jewsons can be very expensive. But I used to find Buildbase OK when I lived in London but up north where I now live they just rip me off.I get a better price in Jewsons than Buildbase up here and Jewsons are much bigger. Travis is a rip off in London and up here. The last place I try.

what annoys me the most is when you get a quote for say 40 m of slabs for 1 job, then 3 weks later they up it by 25% without saying a word
gibbs and dandys and butterfields are the best round here, bit smaller than jewsons or travis but you can talk to the MAN and deal with him

youre right tony.

Just had a big order delivered in Barnet from butterfields. When I needed another two packs of hollow concrete blocks, they were out next day. No trouble at all, and very reasonably priced.
You can also email them, and get a response

also the guy that runs their slab/flag side is very very conscientious,i have never had a broken slab delivered in 20 yrs and that guy has been there that long
i think their indian sandstone is down to about £21 a metre incl VAt and delivery which to my mind is a great price
some good lads at dandys too re: handling materials
cheers LLL :)
