Can anyone please help?

What is the best way to lay a gravel drive on a gradient without it being pushed downhill by traffic? All suggestions gratefully received.

I've read about a cellualr plastic layer that you can buy. How would I lay this so that it stays in place?

Many thanks

I think the item that would best suit your needs is resin bonded aggregate. I dont have any personal experience of doing this work, but there are a few folk on here that do.

you always need some kind of kerb with gravel even if it only sticks up an inch,to retain it.
if the slope is too much you are stuffed

what is your existing drive made of? if its gravel you really want then you could opt for a resin bonded surface. but you will need a concrete, or, tarmac base to adhere it to. although either of the two make a good drive, at the end of the day it comes down to personal aesthetics. good luck.

Never ceases to amaze me that people post a question and don't respond!

Perhaps the OP is sunning himself on a beach somewhere far, far away? :p

Hmm, I have a gravel drive that sweeps downhill and round a corner. We used treated 2x1 timber as kerbings supported by bashing lengths of rebar in to the ground.
Not something I'd repeat, its not some much raking the gravel around its trying to get all the leaves out of the gravel. Looks terrible all winter. great in the summer though.
