Machine or hand lay tarmac?

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

I understand that machine lay will produce superior results.

Is there minimum number of Meters2 to be covered before machine lay is an option?

Yes - although it is variable....

You have to take into account the haulage costs etc - this is largely dependant upon how for the machine has to 'travel' to you.

We have machine laid jobs locally to us where it would be uneconomical for a contractor further away to do the job, if you see where I'm coming from.

Yes - machine laid surface will be far superior (in the hands of a good crew, anyway!) but don't be put off by hand laid material.....
