Scuff marks on newly laid tarmac

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

hi,

recently had new tarmac laid. noticed some marks that appear to be like scuff marks. i think they might be from the paving machine. the marks are on a section of the tarmac that was laid a day before another section.

anyone got any ideas on what they are or how they can be removed.

thanks

screedmarks caused by the paver in the surface will over time disappear due to oxidisation of the bitumen in the asphalt/tarmac.otherwise,short term it is possible to re-heat and compact any affected areas.but, its not a carpet and imperfections, while not affecting the structural integrity of the surface will in some cases appear.
