Ahhhh - we use the spary paint and sturdy 6" nails technique!

Plenty of nails ensure we didn't deviate......

Thanks for all the good advice that's been given.
I have a couple more questions if that' ok!

(1) What is the difference between DOT Type 1 and MOT Type 1 sub bases. Which one is best for a garage floor sub base?.

(2) Would you advise putting a reinforcing mesh into a garage floor about 5m x 6m? and is it advisable to put expansion joints around the perimeter?

All the best
Trevor

i think dot, mot ,type 1, and crushed limestone, are all effectively the same thing, particles from 40 mm down to fines
mesh always helps any slab and yes expansion around the walls is always a good idea although building control do not make you do it
cheers LLL :)
