Washing in jointing sand

Has anybody heard of washing in kiln dried sand to block paving as an alternative to putting it in bone dry when the wet weather won't allow it? Somebody mentioned it but I'm not convinced. And I'm not daft enough to start pouring water all over the blocks on the strength of his suggestion!

I wouldn't advise it!

Kiln dried sand should be used as it is - dry!

did he tell you to hang off sky hooks while you did it?? or go to pick up a long weight??

You could always use some of that tartan paint to seal it with

Don't get upset - It was a perfectly sensible question but some of us have a funny sense of humour. Like the guy who suggested that "washing in kiln dried sand " was a good idea. After all you are paying extra to be sure that it is dry.....
