Hi what a fab site to be reading as i'm just starting to rip up my tarmac drive and lawn for allover block paving.
My question is? For the edge I want to have 4 blocks in a square circle [ does that make sense] of dark grey with a 100 x 100 x50 granite sett in the middle. As these setts are not exactly square could I fill the gaps with cement or some other filler or will I have to use a proper half block.

do you mean something like is shown on this page, shown as the 'Dutch pattern' near the bottom of the page.

and you mean that you would want to change the half block on the inside to a sett.?

if i were you as im not sure with the sett in the middle, i would try a few different block colours etc to contrast with the other blocks in the main area. this should give a nice contrast and will frame/edge the paving well.
i dont know how the sett would look with the irregular edges against the true edges of the blocks
