We're undertaking a self-build in Kent. We're doing some things the easy way (hiring an architect to deliver a design/build package), but some things the hard way (living in caravan for 10 months).

We've had it delivered into the back garden of the derelict bungalow we'll be demolishing in about 10 weeks time. I've sussed out how to connect the mains water and the electrics, but I need to get into a cast-iron soil pipe to drain off the output of a family of four (WC, basin, kitchen sink, shower, washing machine).

The CI pipe is about 8m away from the van, and the fall over that length would be about 60cm. I'm planning to use upvc soil pipe. Is that enough of a fall? And what are the options if not....I guess a macerator/pump product like the 'Sanibest', and some small-bore piping?

Grateful for a steer - or someone to come and help me fit it!

yep that is loads of fall too much if anything
you can get a fitting at your local plumbing centre with 2 jubilee clips that goes from 110mm plastic to hepsleve ,supersleve/cast iron etc. cost about a tenner
dont forget the run needs venting

to much fall and the liquid will go but leave sh, solids behind in time this will build up and cause a blockage and toilets will overflow.

i have to laugh, the topic starts about drain connections and ends about text talk / netspeak. Informality ftw!
