Splicing into 6" salt glaze - Forming a 4" plastic inlet/outlet

Hi,
I was advised to splice into 6" salt glaze rather than use a saddle (by flowjoe), plus I needed the extra depth anyway, what I need to know is should I use a salt glaze y section/junction, incorporating 4" outlet (6" x 6" x 4"), or should the section to be inserted be 6" plastic fitting with 4" outlet, if salt glaze as I suspect, would this be readily available at a builders merchant, or please advise.

Unless you are installing beneath the highway use plastic my friend for the following reasons.

Comparable in price, easier to handle and cut, and most important it bounces when you drop it, so you won`t need to buy two.

Try your local wickes or B&Q type depot, if they do stock 150mm sizes they tend to be cheaper than BM`s.

Thanks for that flowjoe, so if I were to use 150mm plastic, what would I use, a 150mm equal y then reduce or do the make a 150mm x 150mm x 100mm y. Also the flexi seals would have to be larger on one edge to the other edge allowing for the different thickness wouldn't they, also would the inside diameter match up ok to the salt glaze? If I were to use salt glaze are they readily available?
I ask this only as it is close to a private road maybe 600mm from edge!

Sorry to be a pain but would rather have all the no-how before comitting to the job
