What the best base for brickweave - What base

i am currently clearing my drive for brickweave i have dug out 200mm in depth what base should i put down some people say concrete or type 1 if so whats best an how deep can anyone advise cheers jamie :)

150mm type 1 which will wack down to 120mm,for a flexible base
leanmix for a fixed base (not recommended )
