Drainage - Manhole covers

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Can anyone help? Just moved into a new house which has had a conseratory added to the rear with full building reg approval. I want to replace the lino flooring but when i lifted it found a main manhole cover with 4 screws, which i lifted and it has a sealed cover also with srews. Upon lifting this is a shallow half clay pipe with a 4 inch plastic pipe coming from the l/h side of the doorway.there is a sealed rodding point l/h side of the door and on the other side of the door another rodding point cover but when i opened it about 12 inches down there is the old open drain cover from i can only think was from the old outside tap. Outside about 12 feet away is another manhole cover which connects directly to the one in question.
I am looking to put underfloor heating with tiles but not sure if these covers can be tiled over.

You can't (as in "shouldn't") tile over an access cover. You might be able to replace it with a recess tray cover.
