I have a traditional long drive up the side of the house, I Have laid the edging course along the side of the house and the border of next door. The drive has a slight funneling about 4 inches from the top to the bottom. My question is should I start laying in the middle and cut in on both edges or along the edge down the side of the house and cut in on the next door house side, we will most likely use 45 or 90 herron effect and want to make sure the 'lines' look pleasing.

May I also congratulate you on a great site !

On this sort of project, the paving shuld be laid to suit the alignment of YOUR property. If you set it to align with some imaginary line (or the gate posts, as one twonk did on a job I had to assess a couple of years ago) you end up with a right bloody mess.
