I am creating a walkway with brick pavers. My local landscape company recommended for a sub-base of gravel called 2A modified. This to me looks like what typical driveway gravel looks like here in the states, larger rocks with the white dust (lime?) to it. Well, not knowing any better I dished out three truckloads for my walkway. Well, now that it is sand screeding time I am worried after looking at your site based on the info saying that the screed material could seep into the cracks causing sink paver over time?. Should I remove this material and start over (backbreaking work for a DIY), or just keep going and hope for the best. I wish I would have found this site first, then I would have used the more condensed sub-base. Thanks

I've no idea what this 2A material looks like, so I can't really comment. However, if the local landscapers say that's what is best, then you should go with it.
