hi, i have started my drive way and have the edges and subbase in place. chosen blocks are the three size brett alphas. i have started to worry now as i have read many methods of laying them.
i was going to follow the advise of either precompact sharp sand and screed to level ,or precompact and level with 15mm loose screed over the top to height.
Just precompact seems easier but i now do not know how proud to leave them for the final wack as they are rumbled blocks and i have read somewhere that they go down further than standard blocks. Also how much is the right amount of precompaction.

thanks for any advise

Please, please, please read the pigging FAQ so that I don't have to swear on a Sunday!
