HI, just a bit of advice please:-
When I am laying my slabs, I am using a full mortar bed, and setting them slightly high so that I can then tap them down into the mix, to the right level. The mortar then squishes up the gaps at the edges, and so far I have been taking it out, while I wait to be able to do all the pointing in one go. Can I leave this mortar up the gaps, as it effectively looks like it has been pointed untill I take it out.

Thanks
Paul Currie

As long as it isn't protruding above the level of the flag, leave it in place.
