Lay brick edging over geotextile or lay it first?

Hi

I’m building a small 2x2m patio area off the back of our house. The patio will have a fall if 50mm and be laid in MOT and sand. the garden slopes away a steeper angle. The far end of the patio will be edged with bricks. My question is do I lay the geotextile and MOT first and then lay the edging over it, or bed the edging in first and contain the geotextile and MOT within it?

Any help appreciated

Personally I would install any edgings first
