Hi all just had a patio laid in the back and contractor has put in an AKO drain running the length of the back of the house . Before the
AKO drain was put in the kitchen waste pipe emptied into a grid under the kitchen window at the back of house . From what I can see
the contractor has knocked out the grid and ran the AKO over the pipe it emptied into so that the AKO drains into the pipe. Then hes just put the kitchen waste pipe so it empties onto the top of the AKO drain about 12 inches along from the drainage point.
The AKO has a fair bit of waste in it mortar and grout and when the washing machine or sink empties the water is backing up along the AKO and not fully draining and starting to smell.
Does this seam about right the contractor says hes been doin it for twenty years but doesent seam OK to me . Can anyone advise if this
is just standard thanks.
