Gradient for a paddling pool??

Post: # 119915Post DIYer123

Hi
I'm planning to build a freestanding patio (4.5x4.5m) which can take an above ground swimming pool (3m round) in the summer.
Should this still have a gradient on it? It won't be next to any buildings.
Does the base need to be any thicker than usual for that weight?
Thanks!!

always a good idea to have some fall on any exterior patios or slabs
I would go 1:80
and regarding the weight because it is evenly loaded its not an issue
usual 100mm subbase 50 mm bedding and slabs will be fine
cheers LLL
