I've been reading up on this bitumen-backed tape you can buy instead of using traditional lead flashing, it's called foilband if you want to do a search on it.
Anyone got any experiences or opinions on it? I'm adding a conservatory to my house and this could save me time and money...

There's a few products of that type and they all seem to share a common characteristic - they come adrift from the masonry after 12 months. :(
